The Mayan Long Count and the Seven Seals:
The seven "Bowls" of the Revelation

In the Revelation, the familiar names of these archetypical energies are not used, yet their functions can be clearly connected to the seven chakras.

In this diagram the basic qualities of these energies are described from a general perspective, rather than personal. However, they correspond to the personal qualities of the chakras described on the previous page.

The names of the seven chakras, or rather the seven bowls as they are described in the III Revelation, are not all that important. It's only important to understand what they represent. However, I would like to give my own interpretation of the names and how they connect with the qualities of the corresponding centers.

Reed (Earth) - Grows from the earth, is a primary source of nutrition and raw material
Wood (Water) - Carries water between the earth and the atmosphere, plays a role in natural cycles
Iron (Fire) - A strong metal that is shaped when it is red hot, the prime material for technology
Copper (Air) - A metal that conducts electricity, hence a symbol for movement of energies
Silver (Mind) - A clear and reflective metal for a clear mind and receptive senses
Gold (Communication) - measures the value of communication and creativity
Crystal (Higher self) - Transparent and focusing, features needed to access the invisible levels of higher reality

Rev III, 5:2 And before each was set a bowl. And the bowls were made of reeds, of wood, of iron, of copper, of silver, of gold, and of crystal. 3 And the angel poured from the bowl of reeds all the gifts of nature that is fulfilled by the seasons. None had touched the hand of man, but all were known to his spirit.

4 And the second angel poured from the bowl of wood. And there came forth great forests, covered in clouds, which did make rain upon the earth. 5 And the third angel poured from the bowl of iron. And there was fashioned all the tools for man's labour upon the earth, even to the great cities and the wonders of man.

6 And the fourth angel poured from the bowl of copper. And there came forth all manner of vessel for the carrying of man's possessions while on the earth. 7 And the fifth angel poured from a bowl of silver. That was made bright and pleased the eye of man.

8 And the sixth angel poured from a bowl of gold. Which is a base metal of man's treasure upon the earth. 9 And the seventh angel poured from a bowl of crystal, which did sparkle and was fashioned in great beauty. 10 And they were pure and untouched by man.
