| Nuclear detonation Now follows a presentation of nuclear power. John describes a nuclear explosion with his own words. He sees a large cloud appearing in the sky, creating a large arc on top of it (the "mushroom" cap), a brigh flash in the center, like sun, and the pillar of fire and smoke beneath. This "mighty angel" must be the most terrible abomination he's ever seen. |
1 I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire . | |
| (Here John forgets to mention it's the seventh panelist who is speaking, who can blaim him!) The seventh panelist had something in his hand. A nuclear bomb is shown blowing off both over sea and land, | 2 He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, | |
| making a loud rumbling noise. The panelist raises his voice, which makes the other panelists try to calm him (or her) down. (Here is a slight confusion; which cry is the sound of the bomb, which is the cry of the panelist?) | 3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. | |

John is about to make notes of this discussion, but someone in the craft instructs him to ignore what these people just said into the microphones (possibly because there is some information about nuclear power that must be sealed - clearly John had no reason to seal up things uttered by the explosions!). | 4 Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them." | |
| The speaker raised his hand to bring more weight to his words. | 5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven | |
| He said in the name of God (this is apparently a religious or spiritual authority and he makes a clear definition of what he means with "God") that there is no longer time to delay things. | 6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, | |
| Because when nuclear power is being used or its use is planned, the divine plan must be unfolded according to what has been told to (spiritual) people before. | 7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets. | |

| Now John is shown the WTC towers: "buildings of oil" and "towers with lights" standing in the place of the leader or Earth (the U.S. president described before, having the biggest political authority in the world). | 4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. | |
| "If an enemy attacks these towers, their masters will destroy this enemy by a war. The same will happen to an enemy that attacks them directly" (a confusing way of referring to both the towers and the government as "them"). | 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. | |
| This is possibly explaining the HAARP: These have power to control the weather and influence various natural catastrophies. (Since this chapter in general is about the WTC attack, this might imply that some HAARP technology was placed inside the WTC towers.) | 6 These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. | |
| When the president and his staff "look elsewhere", Airplanes will make war against them and succeed in overcoming them and killing people in them. (If you still doubt whether this is about the WTC attack, read on...) | 7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. | |
| The bodies of these people will lie in the streets of New York, which is a city of war and the city of enemy, where the Christ (the spirit of Christ) was rejected (John refers to similar enemies in his time). | 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. | |
| The people from all countries around the world will see these dead bodies for half a week (in the TV), and will not allow them to rest in peace. | 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. | |
| During this time, people in the Middle East will celebrate, because these two towers were symbols of their persecutors (it is never mentioned that the attack came from this part of the world, however). | 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. | |
| After these few days, the commandment of the leader of the Americans was heard and the American stood back up for counter-measures. People saw all this in TV and were afraid of what's going to happen now. | 11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. | |
| And the leader commanded his troops to attack by airforce. The aircraft took off in a cloud of smoke, again witnessed by the enemy through media. | 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. | |
| (Stepping back a bit:) Around the same time there was a big explosion that sent tremors to the city and part of the city collapsed (remember, it was not just the towers but several other buildings around them). Thousands of people were killed. And the ones who survived were shocked and praid to God. | 13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven. | |

| The meaning of this sign was considered great: A bringer of balance and harmony between the polarities (Yin/Jang, male/female), where especially the rise of feminine energies were crucial. Indeed, this could have been seen as the second coming of Christ. | 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. | |
| But at the same time another power was dominating the skies. The mysterious way in which it is explained here, will be explained later (17:7). This description definately relates to the "Tree of life" structure as well. | 3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. | |
| This power was bombing the Earth, and it was prepared to destroy the new Christ energy that had descended. | 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. | |
| In the Third book of Revelation "she" is identified as Gaia, mother Earth. The male child may be an actual person carrying the Christ consciousness... but also has a symbolic meaning. | 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. |
