FACE ON MARS
NEW STUDIES BY MARTIN KEITEL, 1998

Above is the most interesting region.
On the left is a detail of this area showing only the circles representing the pits and white lines pointing out the apparently geometrical GRIDS made by these. The actual size of this detail is 293 x 420 m. The average diameter of one hole is about 25 m (imagine how many people would fit in one!)

Sure, the grids are not perfect. But they ARE grids, where elements are arranged in straigh rows and columns. The "double arc" on the top left seems very interesting but in the original image it is very vague compared to the grids. What kind of natural force could possibly create this kind of geometry?

And even if you didn't mind the grids, the pits certainly make straight lines. Anyway, this is not all, for sure. On the next pages there are more details from this region. Some of the files are rather large and might take some time to load. If you don't have patience to wait, just proceed with the "next" button!
