| Despite the first impression of the second MGS image, it turns out to be much more important than the first one with the face - even though it missed the most interesting details of the so called "city". In this image there seems to be Egyptian style foursided pyramids, but this is maybe not even the most important observation. In the lower portion of image there is a region of flat terrain between the mountains. And it is here that we find the conclusive proof or artificial structures on the red planet:

On the left you see the lower half of the Cydonia image. The above region is marked on the lower right hand corner. The width of the region is 1.3 km. There's still no knews about the missing part (indicated by the black rectangle). Who knows what is hidden under it?

Here on the left is the image after mirroring and turning according to the vertical and horizontal lines. Now, what is special about this region is that it's full of pits, shaped like rounded rectangles. They first appear to be bumps and that's what I thought too. But when you note that the scene is lit from below, it becomes apparent that they are pits instead. You might have difficulties realizing this, but you must just take it as a fact. An alternative is that the "bands" between the pits are some kind of "cables"...
These pits might appear to be caused by some natural erosion. But at a closer inspection you find out that they are organized in ways that should convince anyone of the fact that either they have been put this way by some intelligent beings or they are remains of something organic! In this image you can already see how there are vertical and horizontal alignments. I have marked many of the pits that are most clear, but it would have been pointless to draw them all.
