THE PYRAMIDS IN CLOSER EXAMINATION

2. The "islands"

I call these islands because they are located over the supposedly former bottom of a sea or a large lake. The Face is analyzed in detail elsewhere (return to the index to find the pages) so there's no need to talk more about it here.
What can be marked from the two other islands is their similar, symmetrical shape. Even though the other one seem to be octagonal and the other hexagonal, the overall ratios are very similar.

Island 'J' was present in the new Cydonia photo together with the Face. The Face and the "dolphin" shape below the island understandably took all the attention.
In addition to the outlines of the island I have marked the two "craters" suggesting hexagon shapes and the possible square "base" around the "dolphin-coat hanger".
What must be noted fromt the outline is that there is clearly a smooth base line and a sharper border countouring the shape higher inside the formation. This inner border in my opinion is the former coast line - at least that seems to be the most likely explanation.

Since the line is so clear, one could make the conclusion that the sea level remained the same for a very long time until it continuoysly and relatively rapidly went down (leaving no other visible coast lines).
This might have happened as a resulf of a enormous climate change which again could have resulted from an orbit change, an asteroid impact or an axis shift (or a nuclear war as some might suggest). It has been suggested by some researchers that Mars has gone through some orbital changes.
