UNNATURAL SYMMETRY
Let's look again the large view taken by the Viking Orbiter in 1976. What is obvious from this slightly enhanced picture is that the face is an isolated formation differing from the surrounding cliffs and mountains in style. It is more round and more soft - and obviously more regular in shape!
As I pointed out in my original study, it is not so relevant whether this formation is a FACE or not, but whether it is artificial or not. And the artificiality can be concluded from unnatural symmetry. The pictures below show that the new image shows actually MORE clues to this artificiality than the old one, though at first you wouldn't think that way!

Notice the overall oval shape that is almost symmetrical (too close to be natural, I would say). Notice the parallel vertical lines (1,2). Notice the marks in the top (3). Seen from straight above these would be rather symmetrical. Notice the horizontal lines (4,5) in 90 degree angle compared to the sides.
Can this kind of symmety be natural origin?
Perfeclty aligned parallel lines? This can exist in nature, in a region where some force like linearilly moving water has caused traces in the terrain. But this is not the case here! There are no such linear lines enywhere around this mountain. And the edges of the mount are parallel. Erosion can't explain this. And it's not just the linear edges, but also the overall "oval" shape.
