Notice the precisely aligned path and the segments on both sides of it! As we examined further, we noticed that what at first looked like a completely irregular pattern had some regularity after all - in addition to the triangle and rectangle extensions. Many of the paths and rectangular sections were obviously aligned, more precisely than would seem possible by a coincidence only. Since I had been investigating the Crop Circles, I had my dowsing rods with me and I had to see if would could get some response. I didn't have to go around for long before the rods started twisting in my hands, with a greater force than I had experienced in any of the UK Circles, not to mention the Finnish ones. Perhaps I was more sensitive because I was extremely excited about this field, even more than seemed reasonable. It was as if there was something uplifting in the atmosphere. My friend, who is a member of the skeptics association, shared my enthusiasm though of course trying to stay critical. There were clearly spots among the large flattened area, where the rods reacted. I could go back and forth over the same spot and the rods would always twist over the same location. My friend refused to believe there was actually a force turning the metal sticks. He asked me to walk over a spot where I said there was a clear response, so that he could watch if I moved my hands. I concentrated not to do that and to his surprise he couldn't notice my hands moving a bit. Well, of course I wanted him to try himself. After he had walked around for some time he said, "I'll be damned. It really feels there's a force affecting them". An "island" of standing stalks leaning against each other with the flattened crop flowing around like water.
