THE EVOLUTION OF THE CROP CIRCLES

It is my belief that the reason for the development of the Crop Circles is the evolution of the Circle makers themselves. Using some imagination a following kind of scheme might have been possible...

Update 2002: The following story might be interesting to read, but please take it as fiction. I actually don't believe anymore the Circle makers are improving their skills (apart from the human artists of course), but rather their creations are aligned to the rising consciousness of Earth and mankind. However, none of the ideas presented in this fictional story, no matter how far from the truth, pose a threat to the hypothesis! Besides, if WE were to start experimenting with plasma energies (and perhaps some of "us" are...), it might go like this:

In the 1970's

Somebody or SomeTHING decided to make patterns in the fields. Something wanted to use plasma balls in controlled manner to leave patterns on the ground. Why? The motivation is not the issue here. It might be just curiosity, a spell of creativity, a need to communicate something to someone...

Anyhow this something or someone has the ability to create electro-magnetic fields, for this is needed to control the movement of the electrically charged light ball - not to mention creating the ball in the first place!

Perhaps in the beginning the Circle Maker (CM) just tried making simple straight strokes. She (could be "he" or "it" too) would generate the ball with, say, a positive charge and use a negatively charged field to attract the ball into a certain direction. The result was a somewhat straight line in crop or hay - nothing impressive, not to her or the rest of us.

The next step was to create a cylinder shaped magnetic field and capture the ball to "orbit" inside it. First she transmitted the ball (+) and let it go straight ahead, preferably with just a slight charge so that it wouldn't leave a remarkable trace behind it. Then she cast the cylinder shaped "cage" with the same charge around the ball. The method of creating this field included a strong high-pitched sound (which later appeared to be a very useful by-product!).

Having the same charge the ball was pushed away from the cylinder, being forced to take a circular path. Getting more charged by the positive field inside the cylinder, the ball would now get heated up and start softening the stems enough to bend them. The sound barrier would protect the surrounding crop from being affected by the air current.

Being rejected by the positive ring, the ball would gradually "fall" towards the center of the cylinder and finally just end up rotating there in the middle. At this stage CM would release the cage and let the ball escape.

The result is a circle of crop laid down in a spiral sweep!
