The hypothesis in brief
(I hope you skip this part and read
the whole story, but if you're busy you might anyway have time
to finish this page!)
Circle makers' tools
The patterns are made using circular
and linear barriers (Compasses and Rulers), created between
Earth energy points. The crop is laid down by plasma balls (Brushes).
The barriers work with vibrating energies, also having a (magnetic)
charge. They can be positive, negative or neutral. The barriers
can make sound because they make the air vibrate.
Update 2002: I currently believe the
"barriers" are actually the walls of toroid and tube
shaped energy fields. The way how these fields control the movement
of the plasma balls possibly depends on the magnetic charge
difference between inside and outside the field.
The plasma balls are packets of ionized
gas, positively charged. This makes them very hot in the middle.
Since they "paint" the segments defined by the barriers,
I call them Brushes. They probably include some energies not
yet understandable to people.
All of the barriers have a shared property;
the vibrating energy. This prevents the air current caused by
the plasma balls from affecting outside the perimeters of the
formations. The barrier is roughly 20-40 cm thick.
Update: The energy field wall does
not necessarily have a thickness, but the plasma ball may be
"riding" along the wall, producing a trail with the
above thickness.
The neutral barriers are merely sound
barriers. I call them Passive barriers or P-barriers. The other
two types have their individual functions:
The purpose of the positive barriers
is to control the movement of the plasma balls, hence I call
them Guiding Barriers or G-barriers.
The purpose of the negative barriers
is to decharge (or diminish the charge of) the plasma balls,
thus de-activating them. I call them Control Barriers or C-barriers.
Controlling the Brush
The Brushes move "irregularly forward"
without control. Their movement is controlled by positive barriers,
the G-barriers. This is possible because having the same charge
(+) they repel each other.
Update: Basen on recent information
the plasma balls often indicate signs of their own intelligence,
hence also at least some control over their own movement.
When a Brush is captured between two
G-rulers (positive) it is forced to take a straight path between
the barriers.
When a Brush is captured between two
G-compasses, it is forced to take a circular path.
When a Brush is captured INSIDE a G-compass,
it is forced to take a spiral path (towards the center of the
circle).
When a Brush passes through a C-barrier,
its positive charge is diminished because the barrier "sucks"
it in. This makes the plasma ball "cool down" (or
otherwise lose its energy). Inside the G-compasses there is
a positive charge that recharges the Brush when it enters.
The principal of the Brush
When laying down the crop, the Brush
travels at a low altitude, among the crop stalks. It heats up
and vapourizes the water inside the stems. The pressure of the
expanding moisture inside causes the stems to soften rapidly
(alternatively the sudden loss of water pressure makes the stems
lose they posture).
The fast movement of the Brush creates
a swirling air turbulence behind it sucking the stalks so that
they are aligned to the Brush's path. The energy barriers protect
the crop outside from being affected by the current - resulting
into a precise edge between the erected and flattened crop.
There's possibly some kind of electro-chemical reaction in the
plants included in this; the suck of the plasma balls wouldn't
seem to be enough to flatten the crop so effectively.
