Geometry analysis

I saw another geometry analysis that had already been made before I started. It was very interesting, but it was quite complicated and eventually I noticed it didn't really match the aerial photo in all parts. However it did help me get started. It is very easy to make mistakes when matching a diagram over an aerial photo, especially if the photo is not in high resolution. Also the resolution of a crop field, particulary in the case of small formations, does not allow extremely high detail and this always leaves some room for fluctuation with a geometry study.

When I make a geometry analysis based on an aerial photo, I start by finding out the camera angle and distance in a 3D software. Then I leave the camera in this position with the aerial photo as a backdrop for the modelling work. This way I always have a perspective view in one window while having a top view in another window. Whenever I make changes in the circles and lines, I see how they match the photo.
